Here are some pictures of my lil Pumpkin. He is my passion.

(Rest in Peace 11/22/09)

Pumpkin is a corn snake about 5 feet long. He is very strong willed and basically does what he wants.

Corn snakes are native to the Southeastern Region, they feed on lizards, birds and small mammals. I only feed my Pumpkin frozen mice or rats (obviously I defrost them first). If you feed them live, you risk the rat/mouse harming the snake. If the snake is not hungry it won't attack and so they are volunerable to their prey.

My lil Pumpkin is very docile. Corn snakes do not bite and they are not venomous. They are constrictors.

I am often asked who Pumpkin's vet is. It's so important to go to a vet that specializes in exotic pets which includes reptiles, they are so different than mammals. I have personally gone through 5 vets before I found Dr. Robert Moore. I believe it's important, not only to go to a specialist, but to a vet that cares for your little one as much as you do, and I finally found both criteria in Dr. Moore.

He works on the weekends at the Animal Medical Center in New York City - 212.838.8100. He also does house calls, evenings and weekends, his website is http://www.drrobertmoore.com and email is DRrobertmoore009@yahoo.com

I'm always open to answering any questions you might have about Pumpkin, so ask away :)
