Do not be afraid to ask and receive. Do not be afraid to be "wrong." If you are afraid to be wrong you will never learn. You will forever be stuck where you are and will never be satisfied nor will you learn the truth behind all that you see. Try and try again, and if you are "wrong" each time keep trying and know that in time you will know the truth. Ask no matter what.
As a society, we need to address bullying in a different light; in the Light of God. The bully bullies because he/she does not know who he/she truly is. The bullied is being bullied because he/she does not know who he/she truly is. Neither party understands the truth. The bully feels powerful because he strikes fear in others but the question begs to be asked: Why does the bully feel the need to bully? Does the bully have a hidden fear of being picked on thus he/she bullies before she/he is bullied by others? Maybe one of their parents or siblings is a bully and so they become the bully in order to unleash their frustration. Either way, the bully seeks fulfillment in the physical and because of this will never be happy. He/she will always be on the defensive ready to strike.
The bullied feels helpless because he/she is forever being picked on but the question begs to be asked: Why is the bullied being bullied in the first place? What are they afraid of? Are they being picked on at home, being put down or are they seeking attention? Where does their sense of self-worth lie? Either way, the bullied feels unworthy and seeks attention where it can never be truly fulfilled.
Neither the bully nor the bullied have any real power. They are both in the wrong because they seek where they will never find. We must begin to teach our children that their power lies within and not in being popular/unpopular in school nor in any achievement they might seek to gain in this world. For everything in this world is fleeting and will disappear and then what do they have to do, where will they go, who will they look to to fulfill their false desire?
True power lies in God; in knowing who you truly are. We give our children strength when we teach them about their Creator; when we teach them about how the great Masters dealt with similar situations. Yet how can we teach something we do not understand? We must learn in order to teach. We are responsible for our children and the best way to help our children cope in a sometimes hostile world is to teach them that they are powerful Spiritual Beings and then teach them that power through going within and connecting to their God.
A surefire way to know that you are thinking an untruth about a situation is when you are feeling fearful. If your thought is in any way fearful, hateful, depressing, doubtful, and all other negative thoughts in between, that is a sign, in that moment, that what you are thinking is not God's will for you. Fear is untruth. Joy is truth. God's will for you is happiness. God's will for you is wellness. God's will for you is prosperity. God's will for you is love. God's will for you is joy.
What a glorious day! Jesus has risen; a symbol of raising ourselves up into the Kingdom of Heaven. We are all to rise up and claim who we truly are in God. When celebrating today let us reflect on the importance of clearing our temple to receive the Holy Spirit who will raise us up into the Light of God.
Every morning before you arise and every night before you nod off remind yourself of who you truly are and desire to be. Say to yourself out loud, if you can,
- "I AM the Light of God."
- "I AM a Spiritual Being."
- "I AM abundant."
- "I AM healthy."
- "I AM......"
These two times of the day are very sensitive, as we are more open to receiving. Take advantage of them. At least 1 - 2 hours before you go to bed remain in silence. Turn off the TV, the music, the chatter. Do not take the things of this world into the sacred chamber of sleep. Remind yourself instead of who you truly are by stating the above and add your own personal phrases.
In the morning, before you put feet to floor, stay in bed at least 15 - 20 mins stating who you are and who you desire to be. Set your goals for the day and live from that perspective.
Do this religiously and witness the truth.
Happy St. Patrick's Day to you and your loved ones. St. Patrick was an extraordinary saint who, according to "Confessio," was kidnapped at the age of 16 and brought to Ireland as a slave. During captivity he developed and strengthened his relationship with God. After the six years of captivity he had a vision telling him to return to his home where he continued to immerse himself in the teachings of Christ. A few years later he received another vision to return to Ireland to help the people. Maybe, in the beginning, he did not know why such a horrific situation such as slavery should be brought upon him, but when we look deeper we see that it was a divine act, for St. Patrick brought to the people of Ireland the true teachings of Christ. He taught the Irish people that the Kingdom of God was within them and could not be found anywhere outside of themselves. He brought Jesus' true teachings to the people as we are all called to do. When we're celebrating today let's remember the true teachings of St. Patrick and reflect on the God within us. Let's remember who we truly are and why we have come.
When you find yourself seeking the approval of others, whether it be the approval, or recognition, of a parent, a spouse, a friend, an employer, a coworker etc., realize that it is a false desire. The true desire that is hidden beneath this false desire of approval is the true desire to be one with God. It is God's love we ultimately all seek on a deeper level of our being. We, as humans, have perverted this true desire into seeking recognition and approval in this world. So, when you catch yourself doing, saying, thinking or being something that is in line with seeking approval from that which is outside of God remind yourself that it is untrue, remind yourself that it is God you seek, and then realize that you do not need to do anything in order to receive God's unconditional love. He adores you, for he sees you as you truly are.
Happy Martin Luther King Day to you and your loved ones. Martin Luther King is a symbol of equal rights, of freedom, not just for blacks but for all people of this world - no matter the color of their skin. He preached equal rights for the blacks but on a deeper level he preached freedom of the mind. Freedom to think the thoughts of the part of ourselves that is of God. Thinking from the point of view of God is where true freedom lies. When we freely think from God and get rid of the beam in our own eyes then we can truly see each other as children of God and not what we are on the outside, which has no baring on our true identity. Martin Luther King saw this and he knew this on every level of his being. He was the Light of God as we ALL are. Freedom to think will truly set us free, will truly strip us of all thoughts of inequality. No one can set us free but ourselves. No one can make us feel equal but ourselves. We must not rely on others to free us of our imagined problems or we will bind ourselves to them. We were all born free and equal, and we are all free and equal now. God offers us freedom. It is our choice to accept it. Together, let's set ourselves free from all of our problems, all of our hate, anger, jealousy, envy, pride and all negative emotions towards ourselves and each other. When we do this we will understand what true equality is from the point of view of God.
No one can harm you when you are sealed in the Light of God.
If we can think and talk constantly about politics, the latest news, celebrities, food, music, movies, the most popular shows and all the other things of this world then we should also, and more importantly, be thinking and talking constantly about God. Praying without ceasing is just that. And why is it more beneficial to think and talk constantly about God then about the madness in this world? Well, because when we pray without ceasing God works, God answers, God manifests, God rejoices, God fulfills desires, God loves, God lives, God has an outlet to bring the Kingdom of Heaven down to earth. Pray without ceasing.
When we pray intently, and invoke the Light of God, sometimes we see things happen that we do not like. We say, "But I was praying for good things. Why am I seeing so many bad things? Is this my fault?" No, it is not your fault. Sometimes when we pray and invoke the Light of God the darkness shows itself and challenges us. Our prayers flush the darkness out. Do not stop praying. Allow God to do his work the way in which he sees fit. It is our job to be the instrument for his Light to flow through so that he can do his work. Rest assured that your prayers matter.
When in doubt of what to think about or if you're just idling and waiting for something to happen think about God. Actually, God is the only subject worth thinking about. Everything else pales in comparison, for what else can you think about that will strengthen you at the very core of your being?
If we all stopped watching the news, and TV in general, just for one day we would see a major shift in consciousness that would change this world for the better. Then imagine we decided to stop watching for two days, then three and so on. Imagine what the world would be like.
There are no random acts. God, the Universe, is organized. Things happen for a reason, therefore, if we desire to know the truth behind any given situation we must look for the cause and not at the effect. There are no secrets with God. All that you desire to know is readily available to you and must be revealed when asked. The key is to go within, ask, and then patiently wait for an answer. Do not ask your question in judgement of anyone or anything. The question must be asked from the heart and with love and understanding and must not be asked for the purpose of condemnation. God does not condemn nor judge and thus if we are to be like God, and shine our light, then we must not condemn nor judge. You will receive your answer and you will know that the answer you receive is the truth by the way it makes you feel, for when you are in the state of consciousness that Jesus attained then you have the clear understanding of how and why things happen and thus your heart will be set at ease.
If you are out of work, whether unemployed at the moment or retired, God would love for you to volunteer. Why? Because when you are active in the world you allow God to work through you more effectively. When you work with individuals, whether children, homeless, disabled, and/or animals, you become the light of the world for God. Through you, God uplifts others to greatness, thereby lifting you up as well. You are needed in this world. Have fun!
Many ask, "How can I love those who do "wrong," those who hurt me and others, those who deliberately do harm etc.?" The answer is to love God first and foremost. When you love God you love yourself when you love yourself you are able to love others. God loves all equally no matter what they have done that we deem as wrong. When we learn to love God and ourselves and allow God to love us then we will understand fully how God loves all equally. It is only when we can say, as Jesus said, "I and my Father are One," that we can truly understand how and why God loves all without judgement. When we are able to say Jesus' words then all will be revealed to us.
The greatest gift you can give to God is the gift of you. The gift of your attention, your focus, your heart, your mind, your soul, your love. When you give your all to God, your every waking moment to God, God rejoices and rains his blessings and love upon you.
When in need and feeling as if you have no one to turn to that can truly understand you, say, "Show me the way home to you, O Lord." Allow God to enter your heart fully and lead you to him. Let go and let God.
You are loved beyond belief and beyond what you can ever imagine. Know this truth as you go about your day and feel it within every cell of your mind and body. You are loved.
If you have a chronic thought, one that pops up in your head for no apparent reason, one that you are obsessed with and obsess over, one that, when you close your eyes it comes up, no matter what form it takes, it must be dealt with or you will be at its mercy for the rest of your life. When you obsess over a thought and think a thought incessantly it grows and becomes more powerful and more challenging to annihilate but it can be done. With persistence, a strong will and a desire to be free you can begin to think a better thought in its place. Sit or lay down in a quiet space where you will not be disturbed. When the chronic thought comes up immediately think of the Light of God. Do not give it your attention. When it comes up again turn to the Light of God. Keep doing this until you begin to feel a sense of relief. God will gradually take over and outshine the menacing thought. Stick with it. When you feel the relief don't stop, stay in the Light of God and milk the feeling of relief God has just given you. Let the Light grow stronger so that when you do get up the chronic thought does not come back. If it does come back, immediately focus on, talk about, the Light of God to yourself etc. and it will recede. As you become stronger in the Light the chronic thought will not return. You will have taken back your power.
